Uses of Telma-AM Tablet
Telma-AM Tablet is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Controlling blood pressure with appropriate treatment can help reduce the long-term risk of cardiovascular complications, including heart attack and stroke.
Benefits of Telma-AM Tablet
- Helps control blood pressure: The combination helps lower elevated blood pressure.
- Relaxes blood vessels: Telmisartan and amlodipine work through different mechanisms to promote blood-vessel relaxation.
- Supports cardiovascular health: Effective blood-pressure control can help reduce the risk of complications associated with hypertension.
- Combination therapy: Two complementary medicines provide blood-pressure control when a single medicine may not be sufficient.
How Telma-AM Tablet Works
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents the action of angiotensin II, a substance that can cause blood vessels to narrow. This helps blood vessels relax and lowers blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes the muscles of blood-vessel walls and improves blood flow. Together, they help reduce blood pressure.
